Took place last June 9 at the Theatre of Florence Saschall the annual event that presents the original creations of 45 graduates in Fashion Design Polimoda. Polimoda Fashion Show is the conclusion of a three-year journey that involved research, experiments and sketches by the students of the prestigious Institute. «The parade – says Linda Loppa, Director of Polimoda – represents the culmination of hard work and passionate played by students at the end of their path, is the first real test for their ability to deal with. Polimoda tried to provide them with all means to deal with the right preparation for the new path that will work once qualified». The 45 collections were judged by committees composed of experts who have given, at the end of the evening, several awards: Most Creative Collection, Collection more Commercial, more Media Collection. In addition to these graduates were awarded to other prestigious awards such as Del Dean's Award (awarded by the Director of Polimoda Linda Loppa), the Prix Caran d'Ache, the Main competition Prix Italian Lingerie, Furpile Idea Innovation Award, the Award Lawn Fair of Fashion and the Audience Award. The event was pleasant and enjoyable, with a succession of original creations and much pressure towards research and innovation, not forgetting the good taste of traditional Italian style. There were also «shock effect» and stylistic provocations: creative effervescence of a world that needs to look beyond the ordinary and present. «We followed step by step in these three years the development of the talent of the 45 boys who are about to graduate – said Patrick De Muynck, Head of Design Department of Polimoda – trying to channel the specificities of each to bring a level of maturity creativity that is expressed through the creation of each collection. And a stimulus for us teachers, but especially for students, always devising new creative concepts that make the Department of Design Polimoda a laboratory of ideas and projects that may serve to orient children in their future choices». A demonstration of excellence for an institution that has managed to grow over the years, starting in 1986. Polimoda always proved close to companies, pledging to act as an intermediary between supply and demand in the sector. This emerges from the data collected, which speak 90% of students employed within six months after leaving school. Alongside the professional world as closely linked to the creation and design figures are flanked oriented communication, marcketing menageriale and management of companies in the sector. See you next year then, with new events and other young talent ready to appear on the big stage of fashion.
