The Renaissance from Florence to Paris
and back
Florence, Costa San Giorgio 2, Villa Bardini, > 31 Dec. 2013

Treasures of the Jacquemart-André Museum return Home. Works by Botticelli, Donatello, Mantegna, Paolo Uccello

This exhibition just opened at Villa Bardini is promoted and supported by the Parchi Monumentali Bardini and Peyron Foundation, the Florentine exhibition is the result of a cultural alliance between the city's institutions and the Musée Jacquemart-André in Paris.

Just in the centre of a green Eden made up of its own park and the nearby Boboli Gardens, the magnificent Villa Bardini is the place of this refined and important exhibition in which we can admire a great number of artworks that have been temporarily returned to Florence.

Generously loaned by the Paris museum, the careful and refined selection of works on display enraptures visitors depicting the sacred and profane atmosphere of the Renaissance with, among others, masterpieces by Botticelli The flight into Egypt, the well-known Ecce Homo by Mantegna, the dainty The Virgin and Child by Alesso Baldovinetti, and a refined late sculpture by Giambologna Hercules and the Centaur Nessus.

Therefore a great and unique opportunity in the heart of the Renaissance to admire these treasures of art.
